The BADT National Conference was held recently in Deansgate, Manchester. The venue for the conference was the Hilton, housed in the instantly recognisable Beetham Tower, the tallest building in the UK outside of London (on a clear day visible in 10 different English counties) and a symbol of reinvention of Manchester as a post-industrial city – what could be more appropriate a setting for the event entitled ‘Achievements, ambitions and advancements’.
